Solubits is a set of free tools for everyday text work: converting text to binary and back, encoding and decoding Base64, and comparing two versions of a text.
What people paste into online converters is often private, like a token, a configuration file or a contract, and many of those sites send it to their server to do the work.
What I built
Every tool runs on the visitor’s own device, so what they type stays in their browser. The site is plain static pages in two languages, each with its own address, and it is tested like a product: unit tests for each tool, and end-to-end runs in a real browser in both languages, in dark mode and at phone width.
The result
Live since October 2026, with about 115 KB of the site’s own files and no web fonts.
